Who is responsible?
Daily Wordsearch Challenge is operated by Netnovate LLC, 7901 4th ST N STE 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA. Contact: [email protected] or wordsearch.cc.
What data we process
We collect only what is needed to run the game and improve it. We do not sell your personal data.
- Account: an anonymous player ID stored on your device, an optional display name, language, time zone, sound and theme preferences.
- Gameplay: puzzle progress, scores, solve times, streaks, achievements, leaderboard entries, and custom puzzles you create.
- Device: platform (iOS, web, etc.) and operating system version.
- First visit: approximate country (from our CDN), referrer URL, and marketing parameters such as UTM tags or ad click IDs (Google, Facebook). Stored once when your account is created.
- Social login (optional): if you link Apple, Google, or Facebook, we receive identifiers from that provider. Apple Sign In may also share your name or email if you allow it.
- Email (optional): if you create an email account or use Apple Sign In with email sharing.
- Push notifications (native app only): a device push token if you opt in.
- Local storage: a player token on your device so the app can reconnect to your account.
Third-party services: Apple (Sign in with Apple, push delivery), Meta/Facebook (optional login), Cloudflare (hosting and country detection), Google Fonts and Font Awesome (fonts and icons).
Tracking
We do not use your data for cross-app advertising or sell it to data brokers. Marketing parameters (UTM, click IDs) are stored once to measure how players find the app, not to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
App Store privacy labels
On the App Store we disclose data types such as user ID, optional contact info, gameplay and usage data, coarse location (country), and device identifiers (push token). Optional features are only collected if you choose them.
Why we use it
To provide the game, save your progress, show statistics and leaderboards, deliver optional reminders, and understand how players discover the app.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process account and gameplay data to perform our service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Attribution relies on our legitimate interest in measuring reach (Art. 6(1)(f)). Push notifications and optional social login require your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
How long we keep data
Profile and progress data are kept until you delete your account in the app Settings. Attribution data is stored once and not updated.
Your rights
Under GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Delete your account anytime in the app under Settings — full steps: Account deletion. If you linked Facebook and remove the app from Facebook’s Apps and Websites settings, you can also request deletion there — we process that via our data deletion callback and provide a confirmation page. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
